 | 18th May 2008 | No 99.5 (G571 BHP) (12 images)
Original Operator - Demonstrator
Reg No - G571 BHP
Fleet Number - 99.5
Make & Model - Talbot Freeway (Welfare Vehicle)
New - February 1990
This bus started as a demonstrator for Peugeot Talbot clocking up 11,175 miles during the first 12 months.
It was then sold to The Association For Brain Damaged Children, (now known as Entrust Care) based in Coventry and ran there until may 2005. The bus was offered to the Group, free of charge thru a member who had links with Entrust Care. In June 2005 the bus was collected and drien back to Barrow initially to be used for spares for other talbots we own. On examination the freeway was found to be too good for spares.
We have decided to keep this bus on road for the fleet Works van and low-seated bus for longer distance, lower patronised, group trips to rallies and events.
It joins Talbot Pullman E571 MAC as part of the Barrow Transport Groups unique collection of Talbot Tri-axle minibuses.
